I wanted an instant read food thermometer without paying an arm and a leg. This is a great option if you're good with a 2-4 second read time, instead of the truly instant read upgraded model. Decent price point, a handy temperature guide on the back, magnets for holding it to the fridge or the "stainless" panels on my older Weber Spirit grill, and reads temps quickly enough for me.
I loke this thermometer very much. Large, easy to read display. Reads temperature instantly. Long probe. Purchased two, one for home one for camp. Not disappointed.A word of caution. It is not waterproof as the brochure and packaging says. Found this out when I threw it in the sink after my first use. Took it out of the sink and the display was fogged and the numbers were wonky. Took the battery cover off, removed the battery, and set it on top of my furnace overnight. All was good the next day. This unit is IP65 rated which means "the product has the highest level of dust protection, and is able to withstand low-pressure water jets from all directions. You cannot submerge products that carry an IP65 rating and maintain their protections. Sometimes manufacturers will claim their device is water resistant but they have not performed the IEC testing to the standard".I would have given this a five star rating if the product literature had said water resistant, not "Waterproof",

Great! Easy to use, accurate and can be calibrated! A great value because thermistors are fast and only have to have the tip in the liquid being measured, while an old-fashioned thermometer has to have at least 1/2” to be accurate, and takes longer to read the temperature.Magnet lets me keep it right on the fridge, so I don’t have to open the drawer to find it. Turns on when you open it, so you’re not fiddling with buttons when you’re in a hurry to check a sauce. Performs like a champ, and the battery lasts a long time.

Thermometer is easy to hold, takes an instant, reading of meats and baked goods. 125 is truly a 125 med-rare roast (after resting 15 minutes). Turkey at 165 is perfect. Swing out probe easy to use and back lit large temps are large enough that anyone in the kitchen can read.
I like the size and easy-readibility of the display and the response time seems quicker than I expected based on some reviews. The reading is almost instant.
