It seems to work, unlike the one I bought before this one.

Was tired of my cheap meat thermometer. While it worked ok, it was always a pain to open the oven insert thermometer, take a reading, close oven, repeat. Finally broke down and purchased this awesome thermometer. Two probes, so I can either have two in one meat to get two readings or use on two separate meats. Packaged nicely, can keep everything together in a compact and sturdy box. This device does come with a mobile app and can pair via bluetooth. This does need to he charged, but to be expected. So definitely do a bit of pre-planning on making sure it is charged before using it. This is one of those kitchen gadgets that you do feel like you get what you paid for, and is made by a reputable brand. Recommend!!

Super buy-got on sale. Like that the heat probe is oven-proof to a high temp and has both a separate temp reader as well as the use of a smartphone, if needed.

So far so good we’ll take some time to adjust to using them, I use them in a cast-iron pan to make steaks and mine came out good but my wife’s was still under so I’m going to try the next setting for her. Was easy to clean after they cool down, I did stick some better magnets onto it because it kept sliding down my stainless steel fridge. Looking forward to trying it inside my ninja Woodfire Grill. Was easy to set up. I think it’s a great value for the money. I did buy mine during prime day.

It works really well. I prefer it over other more expensive ones but the app looks outdated and feels a little clunky. Still highly recommended and preferred over other wireless/bluetooth thermometers by far

Tried this probe out for the first time and it works great! Had a small problem figuring out the app but watched a video and it couldn’t work better! It is very accurate both on meat temperature and ambient temperature. Two tips….1) Remove the probe from the holder to turn it on and connect to the app. 2) The probe holder is referred to as the booster. Anyway, I’m very happy with it and plan to get a few more for Christmas gifts!

This is the newest generation of the TempPro TempSpike Plus temperature probes and I found the features ability and software to be excellent.My particular application is barbeque, although I will tell you that probes themselves readily transferred to use in the kitchen such as when we boil chicken for our dog's foodI think what is most important if you're considering purchasing something like this is that :A) The signal will actually go through the lid or the wall of your grill andB) That the signal will actually carry for a good distance without issuesI found both of these criteria to be well satisfied by these probes!!Additionally, the software feature that comes with these probes and the design of the homebase as a relay station were just excellent!! Everything works like it should, intuitive easy to understand and easy to useLastly, I'd like to add a comment about a personal experience that I'm embarrassed to talk about, but in terms of a customer or another person considering purchasing one of these, I think you'll be very interested to hear. I own a Pitboss Titan pellet grill and it functions wonderfully, gets quite hot. It has three shelves internally to cook food on and I hate to admit it, but like an idiot I wanted to test the probe out cooking vegetables, so I stuck the White probe into a bell pepper and placed it on the upper shelf. No issues there, it tracked the temperature just fine, but if you think of it, a bell pepper has soft skin and yep that's right, as soon as I reached for the bell pepper, the probe fell out down into the bowels of the grill and it ended up resting on the plate below the grill directly above the fire box. There was no way that I could recover the probe and I know from using my IR gun that the temperature at that point where the window was open, searing meat, the temperature of the flame was almost 800°. The TempPro TempSpike Plus itself is rated to a max temp of 572 F, but long story short my probe traced high off scale and I simply assumed it to be a melted worthless mess.The next day, once a grill had cooled down, I retrieved the probe and my first surprise was that it the probe was completely intact and there was no obvious physical damage, melting, et cetera to the probe or the casing tip whatsoever! The pictures I posted are after I pull the probe out of the grill!I kind of figured possibly maybe, I don't know, it could work? I figured it had gone all night and the battery was probably run down if it even existed any more, so I put it back in the holder, and allow it to charge for about as I recall 6 to 8 hours and GUESS WHAT?!! Lo and behold I was actually holding my phone when the probe came back to life and it tracked perfectly!! Having bought two probes, the Twin TempSpike Plus, I was able to verify this several times over the next couple of days by simply using both probes in parallel together when I was cooking and watched how the temperature tracked - and the probes tracked perfectly in alignment with each other!!I could not be more pleased with these results!! The fault and the stupidity were mine entirely, but the quality of this product saved my bacon and saved me the cost of having to replace the probe!!I would highly recommend the ThermPro TempSpike Plus - and I stated by the twin set!!

Excellent product. I checked the temp reading against the other probe and the money. FYI, you can set the notification to inform you when the temperature is reached. YOU WILL HEAR IT! LOL! I thought my smoke detector was going off. Worth the money!

This temp probe makes things so easy! I didnt read the manual, I just used it on a Chuck roast and quickly realized this probe is awesome. Being wireless is obviously much easier than a wire hanging out of the smoker or oven, especially with kids running around. Even better, the probes charge while in secured in the body of the display. The unit charges via usb-c, thankfully not the outdated usb-micro. Its nice that the 2 probes are different colors for easy identification. The display has a battery meter for the main unit and each probe. The display also allows for the addition of a red and yellow probe. The unit only has 2 large buttons, one for the orange backlight, which is good, and one for preset modes. I havent used the app yet since I closet watch my cooks but if the app is half as good as everything else on this unit, its probably awesome. Lastly, overall quality leaves nothing to be desired. The main unit is textured where you normally grab it and has small rubber feet to prevent it from slipping, and the plastic body doesnt feel like its going to break if you accidentally drop it. The probes themselves are really nice! They have a little bit of weight to them, nice thick stainless, and the colored tops are large, firm, and easy to ID and grip. There is nothing cheap or hollow feeling about the probes! If you want to splurge a little and get a really nice wireless temp probe, this should definitely be on the short list.

This temp spike thermometer is accurate and easy to use. It comes with two probes so you can either monitor two different pieces of meat, or two separate areas. I have found the temps to be very accurate while smoking all day. I love that I can look at it on my phone with the app instead of having to go outside and read it, especially in extreme weather or late at night. Highly recommend.

Works flawlessly! I had the older version and it worked well enough but the probes kept messing up. I got the Plus and they’re great. The probes are much smaller, and don’t need to be inserted quite as far. The design is more sleek and modern, and it truly works from hundreds of feet away! I liked it so much I purchased some as gifts for my buddies who also like to cook as much as I do. 10/10!

TempPro won points with me right off the bat by designing this to work without any sort of connected device if you'd like. They won major bonus points with me for having an app that doesn't make you need to create any sort of account. The app is simply clean and to the point. No recipe suggestions, no product placements, just pure function. You can enable data recording and view temperature graphs of previous and current sessions. You can also create custom profiles for specific temperatures you'd like to hit while cooking.I've actually been using this for baking breads and it's worked an absolute treat. It's freed me up to play around sizes and shapes I wouldn't usually mess with, as well as different types of flours that might have a hard time judging done-ness with. Since it's wireless it also means I can leave the oven closed and let the bread do its thing up until the moment it's fully cooked. Absolute game changer for me.

This is a fancy and somewhat expensive thermometer. It has numerous features that include two probes that can be used simultaneously, a stand alone base/charger and the ability to track it through your phone. The temperature tracking is not instant but it is not bad. The probes are waterproof and can be put in closed grills or ovens while cooking. No wires or cords hanging out to catch on things and the probes are rated to over 1000°F. I have not explored all the functions but I can see right off that the accuracy is ±2°F since one probe in ice water read 32°F and the other in the same water read 34°F. That would be acceptable for food thermometers but for the price I would expect better.

I just received the twin version (two probes) and the booster/charger looks really nice. The first hurdle, however, is a mixup where the white probe does correlate to the display with the (W) indicator, but in the app (both iPhone and AppleWatch) it’s registered as black. The black probe, on the other hand, reacts exactly reversed (correct on booster display and wrong in app). I have not found a setting to correct this behavior.It took a few days but customer service finally responded with the solution …1. Make sure probes are in the correct spot in the booster, black on bottom white on top2. Unpair it from the APP3. Remove probes from booster4. Hold S for 10 seconds and reset the device, put them back into booster in proper place5. Remove probes again and hold S for 3 seconds and enter sync mode6. Add it back to the APPHonestly, I didn’t believe it would work as it appears rather random, but it did work. Problem solved.
