This is a review of the ThermoPro TP55 Digital Hygrometer Indoor Thermometer. Summary C I wanted something for my desk for a quick reference of humidity temp and offered a back light and this fit my needs perfectly. The device feels durable when held-handled and is super easy to read at a glance, quickly and at various angles. There is no reason not to love this and I would certainly recommend. Meets and exceeds all expectations and has a very low price point. As with all my reviews, I will update this review should this develop issues with ongoing use. Pros 5 year replacement or refund warranty and this says a lot about the quality of the device. 4 Large display that is easy to read and has backlight button with a nice blue color. Backlight button will turn on a blue backlight and this stays on for 15 seconds before turning back off. Reads humidity and temperatures in 10 second intervals. Has an indicator for dry, comfort and wet conditions. Min and Max listed for 24 hour time period. Press and hold All Time/24 Hrs button to reset. Can be wall mounted, magnet mounted or you can use the kickstand for table use. Powered by cheap common AAA batteries and these are even included. Can use rechargeable AAA batteries. Can change between Celsius and Fahrenheit. (C or F) Cons None so far. Notes Designed for indoor use only. The sensors measure around the unit itself. If the weather is nice, you can certainly take outside, however, it should not be taken out in adverse weather conditions and is not made for outdoor use. Made in china. Only uses batteries and no option for AC adapter. If your screen is blurry, make sure you removed the plastic screen cover.

I got this hygrometer when I was having mold problems with my window air conditioners . The humidity here was sometimes 100% in the summer. So this could tell me what the humidity was at all times ,I could turn on the dehumidifier to have the relative humidity which is 30 to 60% . I put one in my kitchen. I put one in my bedroom and I also bought some small ones that I liked but not as much as I like this bigger one because this big one is easier to read and I like the light bulb at the bottom of the screen, you press it and it lights up blue it also tells you the temperature of the room I noticed if you have the right comfort level and humidity level, you can sleep so much better I wish I wouldve bought this years ago . I watch it all the time even in the winter and if it gets too dry in the winter, you could use a humidifier .I would highly recommend this hygrometer . Everyone should have one in their house. You can put it on the wall or you can use the magnet and put it on your refrigerator. I put mine on the wall. Very easy to install .Im not sure what the battery life is on it but Ive had it for months and never had to change the battery I think it is very accurate cause Ive seen the same readings on my dehumidifier .

This unit really works well and the layout compared to other models is the best. The large display and blue back-light are easy to read. The Humidity Gauge layout is great - with three color-coded levels and a good marker to show where the status is. I bought two units - one for home and one for work. I mostly wanted it for work because I am in a old government building where heat/AC is so varied that temperature can be 10 degrees difference in a cube across from me. The accuracy is top notch as it really reflects the correct temperature and I can tell when the Humidity Gauge is reading 'Dry' as opposed to 'Comfort' there really is a difference. The other features like the 'all time' record keeping is nice to see the highs and lows especially when I am not there. I am glad I bought one for home as well because it works just as great there too. I would/will buy this model again.

This thermo/hygro meter is a much more pleasing size than the TP50 that I bought previously from the same manufacturer. Plus it has some nice extra features: the blue backlight is very useful in dark or poorly lit rooms. I also really like being able to switch between 24hr or all-time high/low records. Resetting the all-time numbers is as easy as holding the touchscreen button for 3 seconds (and not having to remove & reinsert batteries like the TP50). The touchscreen is pretty slick too, no pun intended. This device is just as accurate as the TP50s I already have around the house. Comes with its two AAA batteries, and you can hang it from a nail or small hook or use the magnet or kickstand for placement. Excellent unit for use in my bedroom (definitely worth the $4 over another TP50).

The ThermoPro TP55 does exactly what I want and with excellent design. It has exceeded my expectations. I like to know the humidity but until the TP55 I did not have a hygrometer.Humidity has a lot to do with how comfortable the air may be. I think we all think about hot and humid but cool or cold and humid aren't so great either: the term "clammy" comes to mind. Likewise very low humidity in winter can indicate a humidifier is called for. The point is having a way to measure humidity can be very useful to help make my home more comfortable.Things I like about the TP55+ The screen is large and easy to read (without my glasses)+ the touch controls (backlight & C/F degrees)+ 24h and all time max and minimum temp/humidity readings can be displayed+ A nice little "kickstand" for sitting on a table and keyhole for wall mounting+ The magnets on the back that work great on my fridge (the outside!)+ The backlight has just the right brightness for my home+ Even comes with batteriesThings I don't so much:I'm not coming up with anything. I'm really very pleased.I'm really happy I got the ThermoPro TP55. It exactly meets my needs and has been working perfectly for a couple of months. Compact but with a large enough display: it's better than I expected it to be when reading the product listing. Because I like it so much it should be obvious I'm giving it 5 stars.UPDATE 28, Apr 2018:I have really liked my TP55 thermometer/hygrometer since I got it last summer. It was very helpful in winter to let me know when to break out my humidifier. Now rolling into summer it's nice to know the indoor humidity level. I check it frequently and so far it seems pretty accurate temperature-wise. Humidity-wise too though I only have how I feel and the local weather as a basic of comparison. It is still going strong on the original batteries that came in the package.. I remain very pleased and fully satisfied.

The hygrometer are larger than I thought but no biggie there. I use these in my cigar humidor so gave them the salt test....both read 75.2% and both read 77 degrees. I am very pleased with their accuracy.

They are working ok. No issues. Like the large displays. Easy to see from distance.

Clean lines, nice screen, can see the numbers, but doesn't take up alot of desk space

I bought this to keep track of the temperature and humidity for my storage unit. I plan on storing much of my music collection, so I wanted to make sure they would be in a relatively stable temperature and humidity environment. The magnet on the back is strong, and I like the three touch screen options for Fahrenheit/Celsius, Light On/Off, and toggling between the record showing the past 24 hrs or all time. And you can easily reset the history if you want to clear any anomalies that occurred.

This is great for monitoring the temperature and humidity for my zebra finches. It's easy to use. Highly recommended!

This is a nice Thermometer for the money. It looks and feels like good quality.It is hot here in the south. I brought the thermometer inside as soon as it was delivered and opened it up. The temperature read 85 on the thermometer, when it was only 74 in the room. It had been sitting in the back of a hot Amazon delivery truck all day, and I assume all the components were heated up. It took around 15-20 minutes (maybe 30) to register the correct room temperature. Now it works fine, but don't expect it to behave like an instant-read thermometer. If you walk into another room that is hotter or cooler than the one you moved from, it will take a few minutes to calculate the correct temperature. I need one in several places.It comes with a built-in stand, or you can hang it. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it.

Needed to measure the humidity of my space before committing to the purchase of a humidifier. The TP55 did the trick!

This is a very good Item and it monitors the Humidity level, Temperature and also keeps the Highest and Lowest readings of both of those. I compared it to another one and readings were exactly the same. It was an eye opener to show thw amount of humidity i had in my home! I have now bought a dehumidifier from Amazon! It was very easy to use , size is perfect and the cost is well worth it!

Thermpro Digital Hygrometer/Thermometers are the best! I keep temperature and humidity sensitive medications for my horses stored in temperature controlled cabinets. These little units are a good check against the built-in thermostat with the added benefit of capturing the temperature and humidity range over a day. I've used them for several years.

The unit works well. I am monitoring the humidity in my closet and the min/max feature is very helpful.

THE DISPLAY HAS HUGE NUMBERS!Need I tell you how easy is it to read it from across the room? Because if you never struggled with small digits you won't appreciate it but if you had I need not to spell it. Yes, this puppy is amazing. Lights come up for few moments for you tosee better and then it auto turns off.EASY MOUNT NO tools with a little extra effort on your side.They provide you with mounting but I found easy workaround to put it on any wallwithout hurting the paint or need for tools.I bought double sided clear tape.. while ANY double sided tape will do and I have no benefit ofsharing this I still do because I just love this tape for little jobs when I need to stick a pictureto the wall. You can move it about and no trace.
