Easy to read display and straightforward usage. I'm very happy with this thermometer. Great for grilling a whole turkey breast without overcooking!
This worked perfectly! I needed a thermometer with a cord that I could leave in the turkey in my smoker. I didnt want to have to open the door to check and lose heat. The flexible cord allowed the door to shut and still let me monitor the temperature. The alarm when it reached the recommended temp was also very nice.
Many times you need to get the temperature of what's in the oven. You open the door, stick the probe in and hope you don't get burned in the process! Why not get one of these? Put the probe in, place the plug in the jack, place the meat in the oven, close the door, choose the meat on the unit, and magnetically put it on the oven. It's just that simple. When it reaches the desired temperature, it'll sound. It also has a timer, but we use Alexa for that!
Great purchase, takes the guessing game out of my roasting needs when roasting a turkey or rib roast. No more need to rely on a timer when this thermometer can tell me exactly what the temperature of my turkey or roast is at. With its built in temperature limit alarm that one can adjust manually, I need not fear of ruining my roasted meats anymore in the oven. My attached picture is of my holiday rib roast that came out perfectly with the temperature probe inserted in the center of the roast and set to alarm at 115F to pull put of the oven, then tenting the roast with aluminum foil out of the oven for about 30-45 minutes, for a rare to medium rare finish.
Works great for making candy. I used to ruin many batches of caramels and caramel corn by getting them too hot. Especially the chocolate varieties. Nothing worse that burned chocolate. Now I get exactly the right temp for the type of candy I am making. it has many pre-settings for food type but you don't need to use them if you just want to measure the temp. I like the strong magnet on the back. I just stick it in an out of the way spot on side of refrigerator next to my mixer. I lost so many thermometers before.

Thermometer digital is way to go with boiling exact temperature for making my bourbon mash
the cord is very thin and came with kinks in it and gets knotted easily and it makes me a little nervous it’ll break eventually but fingers crossed. it works very well though
I bought this item Jan 20, 2024.Pros:There is an on/off button to save battery life.Bright light and big font to easily read for us older people.Magnet on the back to easily store on a metal like a fridge or top microwave vs shuffling around when stored in a drawer.The length of the thermometer string is long and sturdy.It reads the temperature quicklyCons:Today (Mar 7,2024) I noticed that the metal on the front is coming off. The sticker or glue is not able to hold it down. It's never been dropped and its usually stored by a cool area
Love this thing. Been using the folding stick probe type for years (photo left) and that was fine. But, you're always poking new holes in whatever you're cooking, and making multiple trips to the grille to check the temp.With the Therm-Pro thermometer I just start up the grill, throw on a steak, or chop or whatever, then insert the probe, set the temp and set about preparing the rest of the meal. When it's alarm sounds, you know that whatever you're "Q'n" is at the temp you set.Of course, if your grillin' multiple items it'll work just like the other stick probe types but, with a lot more nice features.The backlight feature is nice and the magnet is handy too and the probe cord is long enough to keep it away from heat and splatter.
