I have had this for a few years now. It still works great! No battery change needed yet and I use it all the time. I wash it in water when necessary and it is fine. It really is waterproof. I always wash it off and close it so it turns off to save the battery. Still love it and would buy another if this one ever dies. Accurate temp checker, easy to read and magnetic so it sticks right to the fridge next to the stove. Does celsius and farenheit.
Very handy to have another way to track air and meat temps. Seems to be good quality easy to read LED display is large and easy to see. Great for my aging eyes. I can actually see the readout from my window n XM to my grill area
This worked great! It was synced to my phone and gave me an alert when it reached the right temperature. It was very easy to use, I highly recommend it.

In my opinion, this is great for using in the smoker. Accurate and the Bluetooth connection allows me to monitor from afar. It's easy to set up and no problems with the battery life. No issues with the temperature range or quality.

The instant read thermometer works great. It’s turns on as soon as you pull the thermometer out. It’s the best meat thermometer I’ve ever used.
Super easy to use just flip open and use probe. Reads accurately and almost immediately. Also, if you want to know the temperature where you are instantly, inside or outside, just flip open and the current temperature is immediately displayed. Easy to read screem also; nice big clear numbers.
This seems to be well made and works great so far. If is easy to use. It comes on when you unfold the probe and turns off when you fold the probe in. It is easy to read and is easy to clean. I like the magnetic feature that allows you to keep it handy on the fridge or stove.
This takes a few seconds to read the temperature, but only a few, like 2 or 3, as advertised. Sure there are faster thermometers with near instant reads, but they also cost several times more than this one. I've had this for a year or more and mostly use it when cooking on our pellet smoker grill. Sometimes I have to search the kitchen because my wife has borrowed it for indoor cooking. The unit turns on when the probe is swung out from the body, and turns off when it is returned to the closed position. The magnet on the back isn't too strong, but strong enough that it will stick to our oven or iron parts of the pellet smoker and won't fall off from a casual bump. The display has good contrast, even in sun, and is easy to read. The battery is easy to install and I haven't had to replace it yet. Great value, great purchase.

I've been using a cheap digital one (my wife's) when smoking / grilling / BBQing - and finally decided to buy my own, and I wanted a decent one - this was one that I'd seen many positive reviews and comments about.There is a reason for all the great reviews - this is an awesome thermometer.Imagine her shocked look with this was stuck to our range hood (it has magnets!) today.Open the probe, and it turns on, simple as that. It's size is good for hand use, the probe can be used at most angles for awkward temp readings. Close it, and it turns off (it also has an auto shutoff timer.)It's accurate out of the box, no need to calibrate mine. (nor would I try) It has a nice backlit screen, and quick reference temp chart on the back (for various meats.)Well built, and a great item. ThermoPro makes great stuff at a great price. I'll be upgrading my remote wireless meat thermometer to a ThermoPro (with probes) real soon. (currently using an el-cheapo wireless she bought me years ago - which works.... but it's not near the level of quality.)Solid piece of cooking gear!
