I know this might not seem like that great of a review. But I have purchased this thermometer for the second time to replace our first one which lasted over 3 years. That may not sound that great but I will say we use it multiple times a day to temp our babies milk, so we really got the use out of it. I purchased for the second time after it started going out but I've purchased other thermometers that last nowhere near this long. And considering the price about $3-4 a year is pretty darn good. Definitely would recommend. Comes with a battery and a little screwdriver, handy! Temps quickly and accelerately.

Replaced an older version that was unreliable and this is great! Would recommend for durability, ease of use, and value.

This is an awesome little gadget. I had an old round thermometer that I could stick in a piece of meat or chicken but it took forever to register. This little thing works so fast and you can just hit a button so you can take it out and read it. Great item, especially for this old lady who loves to cook. My chicken never gets dried out anymore😋

For the price, this is a great buy. It works as it should the first time and is such a valuable tool when grilling outside or doing any cooking.Easy to use and works great. Can see both temps at the same time, has a loud alarm when it reaches set temp. Love it. Can silence alarm with just a touch of any button.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must-have if you cook on a grillI bought this thermometer after getting a new charcoal grill because I wanted to start cooking meat to the proper internal temperature instead of guessing. After using it for about four months, it’s become one of my favorite grilling accessories.I mainly use it to check burgers, but it works just as well for steaks, chicken, and other meats. The readings are fast, accurate, and have helped me avoid both undercooking and overcooking.Pros* Very easy to use right out of the box.* Gives fast, accurate temperature readings.* Easy to clean after each use.* Built-in magnet makes it convenient to store on the side of the grill or refrigerator.* Solid construction that feels durable and well made.* Excellent value for the price.Cons* The display is a little small, so it can be harder to read from a distance.* Because it’s an instant-read thermometer, you have to open the grill and get close to the heat to check the temperature.PerformanceThe thermometer has performed flawlessly during the four months I’ve owned it. The readings are quick, consistent, and give me confidence that my food is cooked safely without drying it out. It has definitely improved my grilling results.Who should buy this?I recommend this to anyone who grills, smokes, bakes, or cooks meat regularly. If you’re still judging doneness by appearance alone, an instant-read thermometer is one of the best kitchen tools you can buy.Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It’s inexpensive, accurate, well built, and has taken the guesswork out of cooking meat to the proper temperature.

Ever wonder if a roast is done only to find that you overcooked it? This digital thermometer is easy to use and accurate so overdone meat is a thing of the past. As an added bonus, it is magnetized so it conveniently is accessible on your refrigerator door. Great value, great performance.

This is a handy little tool for getting temperatures quickly. It comes with the initial battery supply, is easy to insert or change the battery as needed. The backlit display makes the temperature reading easy to see. It can display temperatures in °F or °C. It reads temperatures so fast that I get a room temperature that matches the setting on the thermostat before I get the probe inserted into the food item that I'm checking for internal temperature. The product fits in the hand comfortably, the button controls react to a light press or tap, and the internal temperatures of food display quickly, in just a couple of seconds. The probe rotates open to a maximum of 180°,and rotates downward to fit securely in the groove made for storing it. The probe is held in place by a tab, so it stays closed when you want it closed. The back of the body of the thermometer has a small table of Recommended Internal Temps for beef, pork, & poultry. It's good for measuring the internal temp of my sourdough, or any other breads to ensure doneness. There are a few different storage options, too. It has a loop on one end so it could be hung on a hook, it folds compactly, it's magnetic to stick to the side of a refrigerator or on other appliances containing metal. There are cushioning pads at each end of the thermometer's ends on the back to help protect surfaces from accidental marring or scratching. I am very satisfied with this purchase, the build & utility of it, and that it's so easy to clean. I would buy it again if needed, and yes, I would recommend it for others. It's a good value for the buy!

I've owned one of these for a long time, and according to my Amazon history, it's 10 years old!!! I use it occasionally in my oven, maybe once a month. Turkeys, roasts, corned beef, etc. Today it finally failed, with one of the 2 probes measuring about 20 degrees too cold just sitting on the counter. Everything else works fine. I'm going to replace it with the 4 probe version from the same company, just to have the extra probes. Ease of use, durability, and accuracy (until now) has been great. I always take the batteries out when stored so it doesn't corrode.

I love this product. I have used it for almost a year and it has been easy and flawless and my food turns out fantastic. I smoke outside and am able to keep track of what's going on (temp wise) inside the house and around the property. On that alone I give this a 5 star rating. BUT... and this is HUGE... I ran into a problem. For some reason the devices have stopped talking with one another. I have run through the trouble shooting, replaced the batteries, all the tips and tricks and it just wont work. So I called customer service. Told him (Alex) what was going on. He asked when I bought it, asked for my order number, and them processed a replacement. No hassles. No questions. No problems. It stinks that the device is not working. But that happens. But having a company that will stand by their product, take care of the customer, and do so in such a great way.... THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN MUCH ANYMORE! Thank you! Good product. AMAZING service. Yes, I will be coming back with future purchases.

Better Than the TheroPro TempSpike

I have a ThermoPro TempSpike 1000FT Wireless Meat Thermometer but have issues with connectivity, so I purchased this Value Pack. It works as expected and I no longer have to worry about guessing the meat temp or removing it from the oven to get a reading.

I bought the TP20 last year a little less than a year ago, I have found it to be a exceptional product using it quite a lot with my Kamado Joe smoker. I have used it for both long smokes 18+ hrs. (Brisket, Pork roast et.) and Grilling, Baking Pizza, Rotisserie meats etc. I have found both of the probes to be very accurate when compare to instant read meat thermometers they have always been within 0.5 degrees of the instant read which is because my instant read, reads to the nearest 0.1 degree and the TP20 rounds to the nearest 1 degree. The temperature set alarms work very well and are quite useful when doing long cooks I wear the remote station when working in the yard or on the kitchen counter when in the house. I can see the temperature at any time, if it goes above the set point it alarms which can be heard from some distance away from it which is convenient. About a month ago one of the probes started misreading occasionally so I wanted to buy another probe for it. I could not find a replacement probe for it on their website so I as Their support which probe I should get for it since I could not find one on their website, a few days later I got a reply from support that they could take care of that, I was a bit confused at this point because I did not ask for a warranty replacement. I have been quite satisfied with the product and have used it allot over the past year and was just going to buy another probe for it. A couple of days after that I received another email from support saying my package had been shipped. I received it last week and I emailed support again asking if I owed anything and I got a reply with a simple 1 word answer (NO). Well in my opinion from the quality of the Product and the Customer Support ThermoPro has earned a life long customer.

We grill a lot of fish in the summer, and lamb and beef during the winter. When grilling an expensive cut of meat, a Prime tenderloin for example, preserving the meat quality is imperative. A remote reading thermometer makes possible temperature monitoring while continuing to entertain guests. Here in Alaska, it's also often more comfortable to be inside rather than outside. All of these devices measure the temperature at the tip of metal probes, and transmit that temperature information to a receiver via a radio-frequency link. This allows the user to remotely monitor the temperature at the probe tip.I researched these radio-frequency-based remote reading thermometers to replace a long-time device and chose the ThermoPro TP-20. After thoroughly reading directions, I inserted the enclosed batteries (very convenient), inserted the two temperature probes, and the sender and receiver established a radio-frequency link, with no need for my assistance. The two probes showed the same temperature probes provided the same temperature value, a quick check that the device was calibrated.I've not owned a dual probe remote thermometer before, but I used them both as I monitored the two ends of a 6-pound tenderloin. My family has rare-meat lovers and well-done lovers, and being able to monitor the thin and thick ends of the tenderloin allowed me to adjust the various heat sources on a gas grill. I usually use a charcoal grill and don't have the ability to control the heating to this degree, but it's still a useful piece of information. Of course I log the data, so the temperature differential will also be interesting to log. When planning a meal, it's useful to know that a 6-pound tenderloin, cooked on gas, with the meat at this temperature and outside temperature at that value, will require 1:30 to cook. The manufacturer claims that the sender and receiver will communicate over a 300-ft maximum distance, a distance that I did not measure, but it certainly worked well through a 120-foot distance and through heavy plaster walls. I am very impressed with that performance. The receiver, the controller of the system, has pre-sets for FDA-approved cooking temperatures for a wide range of likely-to-be-grilled foods. Although I didn't use the feature, the device also allows one to set other temperatures, instead. One can change from Fahrenheit to Celsius degrees, as well as access a timer and other features. Read the directions!Directions are easy to follow. The device was well-packaged, and included everything as advertised. It's easy to use and provides accurate temperature information. My first use was for an almost-two-hour grilling of a tenderloin cooked over gas. I enthusiastically recommend this device.

I've had and used this for over a month now. After waiting to see how well it worked and held up I can say that it was really worth the purchase. I tested the probes in an ice water bath and one probe was perfect. The other was just showing an error that kept coming up no matter how many times I unplugged and replugged probe from the transmitter. I was minutes away from either returning the thermometer or emailing customer support for a solution. Not wanting to ask for help or return something when the error may be my own, I carefully examined the unit and probe. I noticed that the probe in question was not seating as deep as the properly working probe. After looking for debris or something else that may have hindered it from fully inserting the probe and not finding anything, I just pushed the probe plug in very hard. There was an audible click as it worked passed what ever was holding it up and it seated deeply and correctly. After that the sensor read the ice water temperature correctly and on par with the other probe.Since working out that problem I have successfully smoked brisket, trout, a swineapple, whole chickens and beef roasts. The transmitter and receiver worked flawlessly each time. I have my smoker outside my garage and about 200 feet from my kitchen. There have been no errors at all. Each time it has been easy to set the temperature for the receiver to audibly alert at. The alert is loud enough and persistent enough (it will not stop until you stop it) that it's hard to miss when you're busily preparing sides and time gets away from you. I've dropped the receiver on my asphalt driveway when it fell out of my apron pocket. The silicone protective case worked well. There was no damage to the unit and you couldn't even tell the receiver fell.I haven't had another problem with the probes but if the company really will replace a broken probe, free of charge, than this thermometer is really worth it and I would recommend it to any friend that was looking for one.

I was apprehensive about spending over $50 for a thermometer. But after using it 3 times thus far... Talk about an easy product to use! This I bought on Thursday so we could have it for a Saturday smoke. It arrived on time, packaged well, and easy to use. Opening the box you'll find a business card with a number to call with any issues. The probes, and the probe holder for use on the cooking grate. The probes doe need an extra push to get them to "click" into the transmitter. After that, you're ready to set either; monitor temperature of the "oven" or ambient air, meat doneness (as preset temps) or dial in your own temp for the alarm to warn you when it reaches the set temp. There's also a way to use the thermometer as a timer to count down, or up. I've not used this feature yet.Now I had bought a cheaper unit from a chain hardware store. It did NOT preform as awesome as this one. It would loose connection over 10 ft away. This unit is great for roaming around the house or carrying on with your life while the smoker is rolling away. When I compared this unit to the TP08 this one had the preset temperatures. This make it easy to click to the meat doneness you prefer. I liked that, I don't want to have to click my way through temps until I reach one that I had to research/memorize.Having dual probes is helpful, this allows me to use one if needed, or grab the second one for another piece of meat or to use it for monitoring the ambient temperature of the smoker. I like having the alarm feature when I'm out working in the garage and involved in a project. I've not had a reason to turn off this feature, maybe making it a little quieter for when I'm indoors. Again, I've not researched this and haven't had a need to thus far.In conclusion, this is a great thermometer. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to make sure their food is going to be prepared to the correct temperature. It is user friendly and easy to figure out for the first time user. I want to get a second unit to keep in my travel trailer and use with the smaller smoker/grill that we take while out on the road camping.Hope this helps, happy smoking!
