TempPro TP260B Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer & Hygrometer — 1,000ft Range, 3.1" Display

I really don't understand why so many people rate this device as bad, especially when the photos show them comparing it to a cheaper, more basic device from the same brand, which obviously can't have the same accuracy. I received it today and have checked it several times throughout the day. There's a slight difference in its measurements, but it's acceptable for a device at this price. Note that I haven't yet compared its accuracy to any high-end device, but I will soon and update this review. As for durability, we'll see what happens; I'll update the review based on how it performs over time. Updating review because this product really deserves 6 stars for its precision and quality-price ratio.

I've only had this a week but it's working perfectly so far.I hung the transmitter under a roof eave about 20 feet away from the main unit and it's sent the signal flawlessly so far.I really like the magnet on the back so I can stick it to my refrigerator (see photo) plus, the nightime display light is plenty bright to see in the dark.Also, even though it said no batteries included, it came with 4 AAA batteries (2 for each unit), so that was nice.Overall, I just wanted a simple indoor/outdoor thermometer with humidity. For around $23, this works great!

Put the sensor somewhere outside away from direct heat source or sun. Sync it to indoor minitoring station (~2 mins). Start. Very accurate indoor and outdoor tempes and humdity. do not swallow.

Sensors are very accurate. Range of outdoor sensor is great. The indoor unit looks modern and is easy to read. Recommended.

The device is a little small compared to what I replaced, but the data is more accurate and I appreciate the backlight when getting dressed in the morning. I can quickly ascertain all the info I need about outside conditions before heading out for the day.

I got this to use in our camper and I’ve been testing it at home against our weather station. The ThermoPro has been consistently within about 1°-2° F of our at home station. The humidity readings diverge by about 10%. Both the temperature and humidity differences are present in both indoor and outdoor readings. However, it is a consistent difference which is a good thing.The connection to the outdoor unit occurred quickly without me having to tinker with anything, and the connection is solid at about 50 feet. I have not tested at a greater distance.The display is easy to read during the day, and the backlight is really good if you want to see the readings without turning on a light. You do have to push a button to turn on the backlighting, but that’s what we wanted. There are already too many LED / LCD displays, buttons and status lights on at night in the camper without adding to the interior light pollution.The magnet holds firmly to our microwave door, and the little “kick stand” functions properly as well.I think this is a good little item for travel, or if you just want or need a minimalist indoor-outdoor thermometer and humidity gauge.

I purchased this because I have another (different style) one of these on my deck that is awesome so I trust this company.I bought this to monitor the temp/humidity in my new greenhouse. I love this one! The accuracy is wonderful, the distance is amazing!!! Ease of use is well, pretty self explanatory. So easy to connect. It makes my life so much easier. I paired this with a string of C9 bulbs and a Wyze outdoor smart plug. When my thermometer reflects the temps dropped, I turn on the lights to heat my greenhouse at night. I use my thermometer to monitor the heat. This works so great. This is mid October and my citrus trees, green pepper and jalapeño peppers are still producing. I even started a bag of potatoes! Thank you for such a great product!!!

After looking at different sensors for a few days, glad we chose this one. It replaces an old Radio Shack station with an outdoor sensor that finally failed. Outdoor temperature and humidity have been right on with NOAA weather on the scanner. Indoor have been right in line with thermostat settings. Only requires minimal light to see display from across the room. Backlight and max/min features are nice. Planning to purchase an extra sensor for the basement, no issues with transmitter reaching the base from back yard. For the money this product is great and definitely gets checked often (easier to place than a weather station). Happy with purchase.

I have a greenhouse located about 125-140ft (say 45m) from a wood framed, stone veneered house. The house windows are low-e, double glazed and the greenhouse is aluminum framed with double thick glass and polycarbonate glazing. There is no line-of-sight between my office and the greenhouse. I've purchased 3 and built 1 device to measure Temp/RH (first 3) and various gases (the one I built) The first three failed to maintain a signal and were useless. The TP260B receiver and transmitter WORK. No drop outs, no other problems. It locked on in less than a minute. It reads within a degree of my NIST-traceable instruments, though it is difficult to find places in a greenhouse where any two instruments agree because of sunlight and ventilation. It gives me a max/min visually. (really would like a solution where I can automatically record the values for study) I do not have any experience with the battery life. It is claimed to contain an 18650 LiPo battery, so I expect a charging time of 2-3 hours. (it has only been installed a week or so) I was sufficiently impressed to buy a second remote unit to deliver outside temp/rh, about which a different review is posted. The TP260B will support at least 3 sources.Recommended.
