Recipe Preparation
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 lbs white onion, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 8 slices processed cheese
- 1 extra-large hamburger bun, toasted
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 head of lettuce, chopped
- 3 tsp salad dressing
- 1 pickle
Recipe Instructions
1
Combine ground beef, white onion, salt, and black pepper. Shape into balls, then flatten into 2 evenly thick patties.
2
To accurately measure the internal cooking temperature, insert the probes of a TempPro Twin TempSpike into the patties. Set to 125°F.
3
Heat skillet over high heat. Add a little oil to prevent sticking. Place patties in skillet. Do not flip immediately. Cook each side 2-4 minutes.
4
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place patties on a baking sheet and roast until the Twin TempSpike shows the center has reached a target temperature 125°F. Remove and top each patty with 4 slices of cheese.
5
Assembly: Layer bun with salad dressing, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and beef patty. Serve, and enjoy!
